RULES

-- Joining --

Add the club to your DeviantWATCH. You will be added to the Members page (see above, under links, the one that says members) when you submit something to the club.

-- Requirements --
1. You must be a photographer (and no, taking pictures of other art does NOT count as photography)

2. You must be willing to share opinions IN A PEACEFUL MANNER. Vulger language WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in this club. Your comment will be hidden and you will be blocked from both the Club and the owners' accounts :devllistoman: and ~Kiarii37
Casual swearing is allowed, excessive swearing is not. We are all mature here, you know the difference.

After joining, please put our icon, in all of your journal entries. (starting at your newest journal entry after joining the club. You can go back and add the icon to all your past entries if you want, we dont require this. Most people have a part of thier journal dedicated to the clubs they are in, for example they will say "my clubs: [club icons]") To get the club icon in your journal, put : iconda-photography-club : (including the colons and without spaces) in your journal. When you submit the journal, that will appear as the club avatar.


-- Rules --
1. You must love photography, obviously! If you don't... why are you here?!

2. NO fights/squabbles about ANYTHING for ANY reason. Dont be starting one either, the person who starts it gets punished harder.

If you fight/squabble, all included members will be either warned, or removed from the club and blocked.
We may choose other punishment, all punishments are at our sole discretion and we reserve the right to do whatever we so please with your membership.

3. Lets keep this club peaceful. We are all here to enjoy and appreciate photography, not to start fights.

Get along with everyone! Besides, There's never a reason to fight. If you have a problem with someone else, send either the club a note, or the owners' accounts , [link] or [link] a note. Someone will deal with it.

Alternatly, take the fight over the persons profile, we dont care if you fight OUTSIDE the club, just dont start anything IN the club. Just like in a real club, the bouncers (Mods and owners) will get pissed and throw you out.

5. Try to be active in the club. We would appreciate if "Club Whores" did not join the club just to have another club icon. We're not going to be looking for this, we hope you will have the honor not to use this club as another trophy in your club icon collection.

Beeing active in the dApC includes commenting on work, participating in contests, etc, just do stuff in the club!
Providing ctritique to work in strongly ecouraged, this club was formed to make Deviant Photographers better and more diversified photographers.
We would prefer if you commented on the work IN THE CLUB, so stupid people dont give you a bunch of crap about your critique being offensive.

6. If there are ever any questions, please ask us. Send the club a note, send one to ~listoman or ~Kiarii37, or leave a comment, whatever, just contact us in some way and well get back to you!

7. Put the dApC (dA-Photography-Club) icon in all of your journal entries, of course starting with your newest one after joining the club.
Also, this one pretty much goes with it, you should watch the club. That way you can be tuned into all the thigs the club has.

8. Watermarks. They are not encouraged, but they are allowed.
The dApC will not put a watermark on the photos for you.

-- Submitting Art --
Submit a note to the club titled "Art Submission" (or something like that) and include a link to your deviation.

We'll submit your art with full credit to you, and link to you, and if the peice is in your gallery or scraps, we will post a link to your work. (We ony link to your work if its on DeviantART)

To remove your deviation from our club, just send us a note, it'll be removed ASAP, no questions asked. we will not save your work though, you will lose ALL comments on the peice. In no way will you be able to get those back if you decide to have your work removed.

If you want your picture back in the gallery (Do not use this to get your pictre the first. If we catch you doing so you WILL be punished. See Punishments. We will chose the punishment), just resubmit it.

If you would like to LEAVE the club for any reason, send us a note, and we will have all your deviations removed, and we will take your avatar out of the "Members" Journal entry. Any other mention of your name will be kept, such as if you won a contest, that entry wont be altered, we may add something to it to inform the club members you have left (Such as a thing at the end saying "so and so has left the dA Photography CLub" or something to that effect)

No artistic (or nonartistic) nudes please. The club is open to ALL deviats, which include people under 18, and they cant view nudes, and it would be unfair to them if there was mature content.
Any other mature content wont be accepted either.

Also, no snapshots of friends and family or pets, or of anything else for that matter. Try to take your time to compose images.
And for portraits, if it looks somewhat professional, then it will most likely be accepted, if it appears to be a snapshot of your friend, it will be most likely be denied.
Main reason for this rule is because someone submitted A TON pictures of herself taken in a mirror with her cellphone...and I spent 20 minutes sorting through all of them! I just dont want to have to do that again.....its REALLY annoying. ~listoman has a SLOW computor, and doing this is a chore for him, he is doing it out of the goodness of his heart.
Think...if you couldnt see someone other than yourself hanging it thier wall, it probaly wont be accepted, and if your not sure if it will be accepted, send it anyway, just dont send a bunch, and We'll decide. The worse that can happen is that is gets denied!

Editing your photos is allowed, and encouraged,

We have the right to deny work. (Imagine what you can do with a piece of film. If you couldn't have taken the photo on film, then it will probably be denied, you can push it tho, this is the digital age, and the digital darkroom is PhotoShop, photoshop can do more than what a darkroom can! Just dont push it.)

Just use common sense. Make your photos look real. This isn't an art club, its photography.

All artwork will be accepted/denied at our sole discretion. We have all rights to remove a photo if we feel it does not follow the rules.

By submitting work, you are giving us PARTIAL rights to the photos in the gallery, such as distribution rights (you keep them as well. We will only distribute art if it was the prize to a contest. We will keep all work, whether in print, or digital files, within the club.

More rules may be added. Eli (listoman) and Molly (Kiarii37) own the club, and therefore they have every right to add, change, or remove rules. You are expected to know these rules. If we made a recent change to the rules and you break it, we may be more leniant, but you will at minimum recieve a warning.

-- Punishments --
If you break a major rule, expect to be punished. You may have your contest prize taken away, be suspended or expelled from the club, etc. Remember, Molly and Listoman are real people, and they own they club. You Dont. We can choose to punish you however we want, even if you think its unfair!

-- Club Moderators --
These are the people that are allowed to punish you also. They are personal friends of ours, and they have access to the club!

The mods are the people in the "friends" box, found directly below the watchers.

They have every bit of power Eli and Molly do. The only things they cant do is be directly contacted (via a note or comment on thier profile). They are real people too, and they cant be bothered with a million questions about a club someone else owns.
